About us
Polaris Music Studio was founded by two entrepreneurial musicians: Ricardo Veiga and Tookah Sapper.
our story
Hello and welcome to Polaris Music Studio! We are Ricardo and Tookah and we are both entrepreneurs with an extensive background in music performance and teaching. We met in 2018 and began Polaris Music Studio 1.0, our first business together. While growing Polaris Music Studio 1.0, we had many other projects and ventures beginning to take shape. Then came COVID. The COVID-19 Pandemic gave us the opportunity to innovate our business model and the various projects that we had started before 2020. We put Polaris Music Studio on the back burner for a bit so that we could focus our energies into building our artist management company, Polaris Management, where we have the privilege of representing some of the world’s top performing artists. We truly enjoy working in this segment of the music industry and it has given us tremendous insight into the true power of music. As many experienced during the Pandemic, we ourselves endured major hurdles of illness due to COVID. Life is short, and we want to pursue the things we love and share our wisdom and experience with others. Now we are proud to share Polaris Music Studio 2.0! We exclusively offer piano, voice, and composition lessons for high school and adult students. We are excited to connect with you and guide you on your own path of musical growth!
Ricardo Veiga is a multi-talented artist, excelling in various fields such as entrepreneurship, classical piano, composition, and film production. Ricardo began his piano journey at the age of 5 in Pasadena, CA. At the age of ten, he moved to England with his family to study under the guidance of José Feghali, the gold medalist of the 1985 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. After spending four years in England, Ricardo relocated to Rio de Janeiro, where he had the privilege of studying with the internationally acclaimed pianist Linda Bustani.
In 1994, Ricardo was awarded a full scholarship to pursue his piano studies at Texas Christian University (TCU), where he had the opportunity to study once more under the tutelage of José Feghali, who was the artist in residence at TCU. Seeking new horizons, Ricardo moved to Los Angeles in 1998 to embark on a career in the film industry as a composer and producer. Throughout his career, he has produced numerous award-winning short films and feature films, many of which can be found on popular streaming platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Ricardo's musical talents extend beyond film production, as he has composed scores for over 20 films, earning him accolades such as the Best Score and Best Song in a Movie at the Nashville Film Festival in 2014. In addition to his accomplishments in the film industry, Ricardo is also the Co-Founder of Polaris Management, a renowned management company representing top-performing artists in the classical music industry.
Fluent in three languages, Ricardo's passion for cultural diversity extends to his love for cooking ethnic dishes from all over the world. His dedication to his craft and creative abilities have garnered him recognition, including a review from the Los Angeles Times in 2011 that described his music as “achingly beautiful."

Tookah Sapper is a native of Oklahoma City and a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation. Tookah started piano lessons at age 5 when her parents noticed that she was picking out melodies on the piano by herself.
Tookah’s love of musical theater inspired her to begin studying voice at the age of 14. While in high school, Tookah had the opportunity to travel to NYC for the first time where she experienced the city and saw her first Broadway show, ‘Les Miserables.’ From that point on, she was hooked and determined to pursue a career in music and get to NYC.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). She started out as a musical theater major, but changed to vocal performance after getting “bitten by the opera bug” during her first summer at a Young Artist Program – Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point.
Tookah received her Master’s degree in Music from Manhattan School of Music (yes, in NYC!). While in New York, Tookah specialized in contemporary opera and sang with the Resident Ensemble of American Opera Projects’ esteemed training program for composers, Composers & The Voice, for two seasons. Tookah also sang with the Studio Artist program of Chautauqua Opera during this time.
In 2018, Tookah moved back to Oklahoma and began teaching voice at her alma mater, UCO. After meeting her now business partner, Ricardo Veiga, Tookah realized that she was, in fact, an entrepreneur and began learning the skills she needed to build a business.
Now, Tookah is Co-Founder of Polaris Management, where she and Ricardo represent some of the world’s top performing artists.
Fun fact: ‘Tookah’ is a Cherokee (Native American) name that means ‘clear sight and far vision,’ and is pronounced like the two underlined words in this phrase: ‘I took a nap.’
